Dr. Peter J M Fairbairn

Consultant Aesthetic Dentist
Dr. Fairbairn graduated in 1981 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and came to the UK in 1985. He has been the principle Dental Surgeon at the Scarsdale since 1989 adn has been actively involved in aesthetic dental procedures since 1988. Recently he has lectured at the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) in 2005 and 2006 and the International Academy for Advanced Facial Aesthetics (IAFAA) in 2007 on Aesthetic Dentistry incorporating his pioneering work on Lip Repositioning surgery for the treatment of the "gummy smile". Peter has been placing dental implants since 1991 and has lectured at the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) in 2006 on Synthetic bone grafting techniques (to avoid using human or cow donor bone products).

Dr. Pete Van der Merwe

Consultant Aesthetic Dentist
Dr. Van der Merwe qualified from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa in 1996. He has since been working in the UK in private practice and has a particular interest in endodontics and tooth whitening with specific reference to research and the deep bleaching technique as taught by Dr. Rod Kurty from the USA. He currently offers all the different forms of bleaching from home bleaching and in chair tooth whitening with the Zoom advanced tooth whitening system, to deep bleaching for patients who wish to achieve extreme New York style tooth whitening. Dr. van-der-Merwe is currently an associate at the Scarsdale Dental Aesthetic and Implant centre.
