Fraxel Laser

Friday, 16 May 2008 06:59 by admin
Since being approved by the FDA, fraxel laser has fast become one of the most exciting and popular laser skin treatments. Fraxel laser is an effective form of treatment for a variety of skin problems which include:

  • Melasma
  • Acne scarring
  • Surgical scarring
  • Age spots/brown spots
  • Skin rejuvenation
Fraxel laser works by removing old epidermal cells from the skin and stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen, resulting in it becoming firmer and more youthful in appearance. Fraxel laser also helps erase excessive pigmentation by producing thousands of tiny columns deep in the skin known as microscopic treatment zones which eliminate old epidermal pigment cells. The reduction in pigment cells results in a reduction in the visible appearance of age spots and the brown patches of melasma.

Additional benefits of fraxel laser treatment include its minimal side effects and the fact that it is suitable for all types of skin colours. After a session of fraxel laser treatment some redness and swelling is common which usually subsides within two to three days. However there is very little risk of scarring or infection with fraxel laser treatment.

The Hurlingham Clinic in London is one of UK’s leading fraxel laser clinics which can be contact on 020 7348 6380 for more information on fraxel laser treatment.

How do I find a good cosmetic surgeon?

Friday, 2 May 2008 06:17 by admin
Choosing a good cosmetic surgeon to perform your cosmetic surgery is essential. But how do you find a good cosmetic surgeon? Although there is no single definite answer to the question there are definitely some useful guidelines which you can follow to find the right cosmetic surgeon for your cosmetic surgery procedure.

Below are six tips which should help you in finding the right cosmetic surgeon:

  1. Is the cosmetic surgeon you are thinking about choosing for your cosmetic surgery registered with the GMC? All UK qualified cosmetic surgeons are members of the General Medical Council. You can check whether your cosmetic surgeon is registered with the GMC on the GMC website.
  2. Alongside being members of the GMC, all qualified plastic surgeons (cosmetic surgeons) who are accredited in the UK are listed on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery. If you are considering having cosmetic surgery in UK then you should check with your surgeon whether he or she is on the register.
  3. Do you feel comfortable with the cosmetic surgeon? Always remember that having cosmetic surgery is a very personal decision and that you should feel comfortable expressing your wishes and needs to your cosmetic surgeon. You should not base your decisions on qualifications only. Choose a cosmetic surgeon who listens to your requirements and understands your individual needs.
  4. What experience does the cosmetic surgeon have in performing the particular cosmetic surgery that you will be having? For example is this the first time he will be performing that particular cosmetic surgery or the 500th time.
  5. Where will the cosmetic surgery be performed? Is it convenient for you?
  6. What about the other staff who will be looking after you such as the nursing staff? Do you feel comfortable with them? Remember to take a holistic view on the matter as you will require post operative care and a good follow up management plan after your cosmetic surgery.

The Hurlingham Clinic is one of the London’s leading cosmetic surgery clinics. If you are considering having cosmetic surgery then The Hurlingham Clinic can be contacted for a private consultation on 020 7348 6380.

Fraxel Laser Treatment

Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:14 by admin
Hi, my name is Tina and I work at the Hurlingham Clinic & Spa as a Senior Patient Care Coordinator.  Each week I will be updating our blog page with the latest goings on at the Hurlingham Clinic & Spa!  I hope you find time to visit my page regularly to find out about current special events, promotions and inside information on the latest cosmetic procedures, non surgical treatments and holistic therapies to help you look and feel your best. At present we are all looking forward to offering the new generation Fraxel Laser, the best and latest innovation in skin refuvenation.  There is simply nothing else like the Fraxel Laser Treatment for improving the appearance of your skin and giving you a renewed sense of confidence.

The Fraxel Laser will improve texture, tone and pore size, eraze unwanted brown spots, smooth wrinkles around the eyes, reduce acne scarring, rejuvenate your neck, chest and hands all with minimal downtime!  Dr Claude Chauchard is our Anti Ageing Specialist who's next clinic will be on the 17th September.  Dr Chauchard believes you can fight the ageing process.  Through physical checks and specific blood testing he can see exactly how your body is ageing and what problems can arise.  He will then prescribe you a tailor made anti ageing prescription.  This is not an overnight miracle cure.  Providing you stick with the anti ageing plan and follow instructions, over the course of six months you will experience dramatic changes to your body, both inside and out.

Call us to find out more... Its that time of year when many of us are returning from holidays in the sun.  With temperatures in the Med hitting 35 degress, some sun damage is inevitable.  Good news, we can help to reverse some of this damage when you return by using the new Exposure Glyco Programme, with pure glycolic acid suitable for home use.  The Glyco Programme helps to correct surface discolouration, improve skin tone, reduce pore size, improve circulation and rebuild collagen.  I have been using this for 4 weeks now and my skin definately looks brighter and more even toned - even my pores seem to be shrinking!  I recommend this product to anyone who feels like giving their skin an overhaul after either too much sun or too much partying!  If you have ever tried the Obaji programme and found Retinova to be too harsh for your skin type,  then the Glyco Programme could be for you...

Finally, welcome to our new Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr Davood Fallahdar M.D.Chir.Plast.  Mr Fallahdar's is available for consulations for the following surgical procedures:  abdominoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation, mastopexy, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty as well as non surgical procedures including fraxel laser, injectable fillers and botox.
