This summer Ulrika Jonsson revealed she had invested £11,000 in
cosmetic Surgery after the birth of her fourth child. It was reported
this week that she wanted breast reduction surgery and body reshaping
after she put on five stone during pregnancy and her bust ballooned to
34I.
Breast reduction
is a common request. Most women are aware of breast enlargement surgery
and breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed
procedures. However, an increasing number of women are seeking breast
reduction surgery. They consider a reduction in breast size can give
them more confidence and reduce the health problems excessively large
breasts can cause. Such as back and shoulder pain, skin irritation and
discomfort and feeling overly self conscious.
Another common
cosmetic surgery procedure after child birth is a
breast lift
or mastopexy. A recent innovation in this type of surgery has produced
the minimal scar breast lift technique to improve the appearance of
loose, sagging breasts which have lost tone and volume. Traditional
breast lifting techniques involve removal of skin and tissue underneath
the breast and around the areola, using what is known as the ‘anchor
incision’ or ‘inverted T’. These techniques are effective and the
results are usually long lasting and predictable. However, some women
have been reluctant to undergo these procedures as they create a
distinct scar on the front of the breast.
For women requiring only a minor to moderate
degree of lift, there is an alternative solution which can be performed
without vertical scarring. The ‘minimal scar breast lift’ utilises an
incision around the areola combined with a short incision in the infra
mammary skin fold. This technique delivers a lasting and natural breast
lift with barely-visible scarring.
The Party Season is here.
Where did the year go? It seems like only yesterday that the party clothes were out and I knew I should have considered
Liposuction when I made my New Year resolutions! But all is not lost there is still time for some quick fix beauty essentials.
Winter takes its toll on your skin with drying winds and central
heating but a nourishing facial combined with one of the fabulous skin
peels like the Power Pumpkin Resurfacer by Dermaquest can brighten the
skin and give a youthful appearance.
For a more serious approach to smoothing out lines and wrinkles Botox
is always a pre Christmas favorite. And the recent developments in
fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm ensure a natural look for
lip enhancement and can lift and smooth targeted areas of the face such as lines around the lips and the nasolabial fold lines.
