PROCEDURE

PermaLipTM Lip Enhancement is relatively simple to perform. The mouth and lips are locally anesthetized; then, two small incisions are made in the corners of the mouth. The PermaLipTM implant is then passed through a tunnel in the lip and centered. The process is repeated for the other lip and the incisions are closed using absorbable suture. The entire process is designed to take less than fifteen minutes and normal activity may be.

Although PermaLipTM is permanent, it is also designed to be easily reversible should a person wish to return to their original lip appearance. Removal of implants typically takes less than ten minutes.

Optimal patients for lip enhancement are those that present with normal lip appearance and simply wish to enhance their existing lip, or patients who have a natural loss of lip volume as a result of aging.
